Hello! I’m Tariq Thomas, the founder of “Keys to Your Property.” My journey in real estate began over two decades ago, but my story starts in a different world altogether — as a DJ in the vibrant music scene of New York and New Jersey. In the 1990s, I traveled around the globe, spinning records and sharing my passion for music with audiences worldwide. But in 2002, I discovered a new passion: real estate investing.

After purchasing my first investment property, I moved to Maryland in 2004 and founded the Thomas Holding Group of Maryland, focusing on buying and renovating homes in the greater Baltimore area. My ambition and love for real estate soon led me to expand into new territories. By 2006, I had launched the Thomas Holding Group of PA in Harrisburg, PA, exploring opportunities in different markets. However, the real estate crash of 2009 changed everything.

With the Pennsylvania market slowing down, I returned to Maryland in 2011, re-establishing my operations under THG of MD. Realizing that the landscape of real estate had shifted, I needed to think outside the box to find properties beyond the traditional MLS. That’s when I launched Yes I Pay Cash – We Buy Houses to serve as the marketing and lead generation arm of my business. What started as a small initiative has now grown into a major source of leads for motivated sellers across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.

Having grown up in New Jersey and lived in Maryland and Pennsylvania, I’ve developed a deep understanding of these diverse real estate markets. I created “Keys to Your Property” to share my insights, experiences, and practical advice with homeowners, buyers, and anyone looking to make informed decisions in real estate.
